UCEED Part A is a computer-based examination lasting 2.5 hours. It contains three sections: Section 1 (NAT - Numerical Answer Type), Section 2 (MSQ - Multiple Select Questions), and Section 3 (MCQ - Multiple Choice Questions). There are no sketching questions in Part A.
Historically: MCQs have +3 for correct answers and -0.75 for wrong answers. MSQs have +4 for fully correct answers (with partial marking rules if configured by IIT Bombay) and 0 negative marks. NATs have +4 for correct inputs (within a mathematical range) and 0 negative marks.
Yes, our exam player supports correct answers configured as ranges. If the official answer is 11.2, inputs between 11.1 and 11.3 are scored as correct based on standard tolerances.
Yes. The Deszyme simulator client triggers active state saves to the cloud every 30 seconds. If your network disconnects or you accidentally close the tab, you can resume the test from your dashboard without losing progress.
We use secure and passwordless OTP verification via Gmail. We request a mobile number during registration solely to prevent spam registrations, ensuring that the platform remains free and performant for authentic students.
Currently, the simulator evaluates Part A (Computer-Based Test) automatically. For Part B, Deszyme provides official question sheets for practice, and we are developing a collaborative peer-evaluation dashboard.
We categorize each question into topics like Spatial Visualization, Observation, Design History, and Mathematics. After submitting, our analytics engine maps your scores against these categories to generate topic-wise accuracy charts.
Our mock tests are designed by NID/IIT alumni. While we include historical questions for reference, the main mock tests are fresh papers modeled on the official exam syllabus, complexity distribution, and marking scheme.
To preserve exam integrity, the simulator alerts you when you minimize the window, exit fullscreen, or switch tabs. Warnings are recorded in the session database. Exceeding the warning threshold may result in auto-submission.
No. The mock tests are 100% free and unlimited. You can retake exams or review past scorecard breakdowns at any time on your Deszyme dashboard.

How do I launch the exam simulator?
Simply click the purple Start Free Mock Test button on the top header or home page. If you are signed in, you will be redirected straight to your active exam dashboard.
Are tests modeled on real IIT bombay UCEED patterns?
Yes! Deszyme replicates exact countdown timing, NAT numeric keypads, MSQ multi-selections, and question palettes used in actual official UCEED, CEED, NID, and NIFT online computer-based tests.
